The show ‘Koffee with Karan’, with its ongoing 7th season, is known not only for brewing coffee and spilling the tea but also for serving looks. The grand and suave host, Karan Johar, is the superintendent of the fashion police of Bollywood. So, it’s no wonder that the guests that grace the show with their humor and charisma do it while donning the most renowned designers. Over the last 18 years of its run, the show has witnessed many hallmarks in fashion history. Here are some of the most iconic outfits that celebs have worn on the show.
1. Janhvi Kapoor (Season 7, Episode 2)
The ‘Dhadak’ actress recently appeared on KWK’s latest season, accompanied by her Bollywood bestie, Sara Ali Khan. Though the episode was filled with their wit and charm, it was Janhvi’s Alexandre Vauthier sequin bodycon dress that stole our hearts. The shimmery red and purple dress looked like it was made to fit Janhvi’s curves. The actress definitely did not hold back with this €5373 (nearly Rs.4 lakh) worth dress and channeled her inner diva.

2. Freida Pinto (Season 4, Episode 14)
Freida Pinto had been clad in a cutout gown by Shivan & Narresh when she attended KWK with Nargis Fakhri. The actress looked stunning in this little black dress and gave off ‘Maddy Perez’ vibes way before it was even a thing. She was adorned with statement golden earrings and a bracelet. She completed the look with minimal makeup and sleek hair.

3. Ranveer Singh (Season 6, Episode 2)
No Bollywood fashion list is ever complete without the mention of Ranveer Singh. The king of bold choices did not disappoint when he showed up to KWK’s 6th season in a Versace leopard-print shirt. The shirt was from the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2018 Collection and was priced at a whopping Rs.1,03,257. The actor paired the shirt with equally heavy jewelry but tamed the look by wearing simple black trousers and black shoes.

4. Ayushmann Khurrana (Season 6, Episode 9)
On the show, Ayushmann Khurrana, accompanied by his contemporary Vicky Kaushal, talked about climbing up the professional ladder. It’s safe to say that his name has reached great heights when it comes to not only acting but also the ‘best-dressed’ lists. For his KWK debut, he was the epitome of ‘classy and luxury’ in this printed blazer from Zegna. His Jimmy Choo high-top sneakers and dashing personality were the perfect finishing touches to this upper-end look.

5. Sonam Kapoor (Season 3, Episode 3)
Sonam Kapoor proved that she was made to play the role of ‘Aisha’ when she flaunted her incredible fashion sense on her KWK appearance. The actress’s tall frame was covered by a golden lamé gown by Halston Heritage. She sported big hair, smokey eye-makeup, and admirable confidence. She definitely threw the entire Bollywood fashion industry into a whirlwind with this Met Gala-ready look.

6. Kareena Kapoor (Season 6, Episode 19)
In the essence of Poo— “We give Kareena Kapoor a solid 12 out of 10 for this look”. Red has never looked better than when it was on Kareena Kapoor in the form of a Monisha Jaising gown. All eyes were on this dazzling floor-length gown that she adorned with perfect blowout hair and glam makeup. Bebo’s tousled and alluring look stole the spotlight of the show from all the tea that she had spilled.

7. Sara Ali Khan (Season 7, Episode 2)
Sara Ali Khan follows the footsteps of her stepmother, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and accompanies her best friend, Janhvi Kapoor, on this list, with whom she attended the show. She wore a Yves Saint Laurent dress with Jimmy Choo heels. She was very on board with the bow theme, which was attached to her dress and her heels. She looked like she was on the mood board for “Upper-East Manhattan” and exuberated sophistication as she flushed about Vivek Devarakonda.
