Bring Selena + Chef to your Kitchen – Here’s How!

What if we told you that you could bring recipes from world-renowned chefs made by SELENA GOMEZ to your kitchen? Exciting, right?


Her show Selena + Chef, premiering on HBO Max, started during the lockdown in 2020 and has gained love from all over the world. What makes the show so entertaining is Selena’s adorable confusion around her own kitchen, legendary chefs in their natural habitat, Raquelle’s (Selena’s roommate at the time) unconditional love for food, and, of course, the delicious meals. Oh, and we can’t forget about the iconic Papa (Selena’s grandpa) constantly and hilariously judging Selena’s knife skills!

From cutting her finger and setting the oven on fire to manhandling live lobsters, newly turned chef, Selena Gomez, has tried it all so that we don’t have to. Scroll down to learn some new and delicious recipes straight from the show.

1. Ludo’s French Omelette:

Ingredients:

Eggs, Salt, White Pepper, Butter, Boursin Cheese (or Cream Cheese), Chives

Method:


1. Find a 9-inch frying pan.

2. Finely chop 1 tbsp of fresh chives.

3. Crack 4 fresh eggs into a bowl. No shells!

4. Whisk your eggs very well.

5. Add 2 pinches of sea salt.

6. Add white pepper to taste.

7. Melt 45 grams of butter over low heat.

8. Add your eggs. No sizzling!

9. Stir the eggs and make sure they don't stick to the pan.

10. Control the heat! Mix fast! Take it off the fire and reform!

11. Mix in the cheese and roll the omelet slowly.

12. Sprinkle the finely chopped chives and enjoy!

2. Nana’s Cheesy Chicken Tortilla Chip Casserole:

Ingredients:

Tortilla Chips, Rotisserie Chicken, Yellow Onion, Jalapeños, Velveeta Cheese (or Cheddar Cheese), Chicken Broth

Method:


1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

2. Grab an oven-safe dish and finely crush your tortilla chips to cover the bottom of the dish.

3. Add strips of rotisserie chicken to create the next layer.

4. Sprinkle on chopped onions and jalapeños for a spicy kick.

5. Time for cheese! Cover the whole casserole with your Velveeta slices.

6. Add another layer of crushed tortilla chips and then another layer of chicken.

7. Add more onions and jalapeños if you can handle it!

8. Cover the casserole in chicken broth before adding the final layer of cheese.

9. For an authentic Selena touch, add one more layer of crushed tortilla chips.

10. Bake for 20 minutes and voilà!

3. Aarti’s Thanksgiving Sweet Potatoes:

Ingredients:

Sweet Potatoes, Avocado Oil, Kosher Salt, Freshly Ground Pepper, Garam Masala, Mini Marshmallows

Method:


1. Bake the sweet potatoes at 350°F for 45 minutes or until tender.

2. Slit them in half.

3. Sprinkle some salt, black pepper, and garam masala on them.

4. Don’t forget to add the marshmallows!

5. Put them back in the oven and broil on high for 1 minute. Enjoy!

Food has always been the way to a person’s heart, and Selena Gomez has certainly won the key to ours.
