According to Wikipedia, from antiquity, weddings are highly regarded occasions. The clothing worn by the bride for her wedding has usually been distinguished from that of her daily wear. Symbolism is also attached to the dress, like white for purity and should be attached to items worn with the dress, like something blue for luck. The symbolism related to the marriage dress may have cultural, traditional, or personal significance. After Varun Dhawan and Natasha, Rajkumar Rao and Patralekhaa, another two of the foremost famous celebrities, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif tied the knot in yet another intimate ceremony. The couple wowed everyone with their breathtaking photos posted on Instagram after their highly private wedding. Not much to our surprise, this big fat Indian wedding also caught our eyes on several beautiful details of the bride’s outfit.
Katrina started off her wedding functions with a haldi ceremony and wore a Sabyasachi ivory organdy lehenga with gota and tilla embroidery, and an organza dupatta in gota and marori embroidery, trimmed with kiran. She accessorised this look with floral jewellery in white and her gorgeous smile.

Her mehendi look included a multi-coloured matka silk lehenga with a patchwork blouse and an embroidered tulle dupatta. This lehenga from Sabyasachi's Kashgaar Bazaar collection, paid tribute to India's regional folklore, crafts and nomadic culture. She completed her look with Navratan inspired jewellery in 18k gold and her bridal glow!

For the pre-wedding festivities, Katrina wore a Sabyasachi floral sari with a veil. This outfit was inspired by couture sari with a trailing veil, embellished with English flowers paying homage to her mother's English background. This outfit was embroidered by craftswomen from Bengal and sprinkled with semi-precious crystals and gems.

Katrina chose a bright red lehenga from the house of Sabyasachi for her big day. Her lehenga was full of intricate gold patterns and embellishments. In step with Sabyasachi’s Instagram post, her red bridal lehenga was in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work and embroidered revival zardozi borders in velvet. In respect to the groom’s Punjabi roots, her veil was custom trimmed with handmade kiran. The lehenga was paired with bespoke bridal jewellery of uncut diamonds in 22k gold with hand strung pearls from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.

Her makeup is additionally worth a mention. Katrina chose to keep her makeup to a minimum that only illuminated her face. A flawless base, filled-in brows, neutral-tone lips and blush cheeks gave this bride her perfect look.
To sum it all up, it absolutely was, yet one more fashion fairy-tale wedding with a mix of both old-traditional red coloured wedding and a barely recent day, subtle pink wedding. Katrina chose the traditional path of picking a Sabyasachi Lehanga, but at the same time gave her own touch of bible verse words to her jewellery. It was heart-warming to see two people in love, respecting and paying homage to each other's cultures.
