While scrolling through the internet, you must have come across this mesmerizing song “ocean eyes.” You’ve heard about her when she was a young teenage girl. Well, now she’s a woman who has released her second heartening album, and it has not failed to serve us!
Album Cover
Billie Eilish's second album utters a completely unknown side of her personality. We are living in the new Billie era, and trust me, we’re extremely lucky to be here. If you are a proud member of gen z, I know for a fact that “happier than ever,” the title song, is in your top 3 favourite from this album. Moreover, I’m sure you’ve danced and screamed your heart out to the second half of the song. You know, the “you made me hate this city!!” part.
Album Track List
This album faithfully reflects its evolution - social scrutiny, the end of dreams, and the sour reception of the new norm. Many diary-like tracks are made more vulnerable to Eilish whispering voices. As a direct address to critics, "Not My Responsibility" is strong in its sincerity, but its presentation is slower and requires patience to listen to. This is the paradox of the whole album. While the title shows excitement, the tone of the released jazz arouses a soothing sense of comfort. Fans will appreciate her candor, but the weight of the ballads is a heavy load of pop music. It’s a completely different vibe from her previous songs. Most of the songs are not the type which set the tone for loud energetic days, but rather softer and more reflective ones.
Billie has finally embraced this side of herself that she has kept veiled from the media for a while. She’s an adult now, she’s expressing her experiences through some electric lyrics, her songs make us feel like she’s giving us sisterly advice.
She’s mature, she’s beautiful, she’s happier than ever!!
